Gift baskets can be lots of fun creating. You can make millions of gift baskets and never do the same one twice. But just in case your creativity is running a little low, we’ve listed some free gift basket ideas on Idea Queen.
Quite a few of these ideas actually come from an ebook we picked up some time ago. It’s actually available in with the Gift Jar recipes ebook, which alone has some pretty cool ideas as well. (If you didn’t know, Gift Jars are pretty hot right now, as they should be because they are a pretty cool gift!)
Some of the free gift basket ideas you’ll find on our site and in the ebook are:
– Kids Gift Basket Ideas
– Birthday Gift Basket Ideas
– Christmas Gift Basket Ideas
– Teacher Gift Basket Ideas
Plus a whole lot more. Those are just the categories, which each has quite a few ideas within the pages.
Some of my favorite free gift basket ideas are listed below.

It’s about the end of the tomato garden season, so this will be our last chance to make some delicious fresh salsa recipes. I must admit though, I’ve never made fresh salsa from a “recipe”. It’s one of those personal taste things that require your own notes to make perfect.
What I can tell you is what my fresh salsa recipes always start with. The exact ingredients and directions are listed on our salsa recipe page on Idea Queen. MY normal recipe includes only the following:
– 3 or 4 Tomatoes
– 1 or 2 Green Peppers
– 1 or 2 Jalapenos
– Garlic Salt
Yup that’s it. I don’t add onions or anything else fancy. Just throw them in and bring to a boil. I let it simmer for awhile until it gets a bit thicker. Did I mention this all comes out of the garden? You can’t get much more “fresh” than that!
If you are in need of some additional fresh salsa recipes, be sure to see the ebook on this particular page. There’s over 125 included (which I would have never thought there was THAT many ways to make salsa!). A very interesting read with some fantastic ideas though. 😉
For some reason, chicken usually ends up being one of the number one leftover in our fridge. It’s possible my kids don’t like “regular old chicken breasts”. To tell you the truth, I don’t think I do either. No matter what kind of spices or marinades I use, we seem to always go on a hunt for leftover chicken recipes.
My absolute favorite thing to do with leftover chicken is put it in fried rice. You know, those cheap boxes of flavored fried rice that is “only rice”. I do have this recipe idea on our leftover recipes page on Idea Queen too. This is especially good if I have leftover pork chop too. You just make the rice as normal, then throw in the meat (heated up over course). It gives it extra flavor and turns the rice into a main dish.
Another recipe we used once was “Cheesy chicken”, which is also on the leftover recipes page. Basically we made a casserole out of the one lonely chicken breast left over with cheese, corn, and a few other ingredients.
There’s yet another idea on this page left by a visitor, that turned her leftover chicken into a chicken salad. That’s another very nice option when you don’t have a whole lot.
I’m interested to hear your favorite leftover chicken recipes!
When your toddler is bored, saying “go play” isn’t an option. It’s a cue they really want to spend some time with you. Luckily there are tons of things that will keep bored toddlers busy for hours on end.
There are two main sections at Idea Queen you can look at when looking for projects for bored toddlers. One of these sections is the free craft ideas for kids. While most of the crafts listed are great for any age, some of the more “toddler specific” crafts are the following:
– Homemade Toy Boxes
– Colorful Name Pictures
– Magnet Crafts
In addition to the specific ideas above, there’s also many seasonal craft ideas that are perfect for little ones as well. More specifically the Christmas ornaments, Christmas gift ideas, and other random crafts.
The second section on Idea Queen where you can find projects for bored toddlers is the activities for kids page. The majority of the ideas listed here are specifically FOR toddlers, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding something fun.
This page is broken down by type of activity and game, and include some of the following projects for bored toddlers:
– Indoor Toddler Activities
– Outdoor Toddler Activities
– Easy Recipes for Kids
There are many other ideas listed on this page that work for both toddlers and older children as well. If all else fails, you may want to check out our craft book which features all kinds of crafts submitted by many different moms! This craft book can also be found on the pages above.
