Apple Crisp Pie

My man loves apple crisp, and he loves apple pie. So we came up with a way to combine the two in a delicious desert. Really you could call it apple pie or apple crisp either one, and no one would really know the difference. Just don’t tell the man in my house eating it hehe.

This recipe is easily doubled for larger pie shells or more than one. We used 2 SMALL pie shells – 6oz according to the label. The recipe would be for ONE. If you use two, be sure to double it.

Apple Crisp Pie

1 Small Pie Crust (graham cracker, 6oz)

3-4 apples (or more if you like a little extra filling – ours were a little skimpy)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oatmeal

Peel and cut apples into small cubes and mix with sugar and cinnamon. Place in crust. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, oatmeal, and flour. Sprinkle over pie. Bake at 425* for 35-40minutes, or until crust is light brown.
