As you might have guessed, I have an obsession with Pinterest. Even just visiting to look up something I pinned previously is dangerous – I end up pinning another 3 or 4 ideas. Yet sometimes I stumble on some fantastic ideas and recipes that we get hooked on, or offer at The Hot Spot.
A few weeks ago I came across a recipe for Rolo Cookies. It was quick, easy, and a perfect treat to sell to our customers at the store. My mom ended up making them again for a game tournament weekend, and they sold out. Yes, they are really that good.
Here’s the recipe for our fantastic Rolo cookies:
Orginal Recipe from Six Sisters’ Stuff
You Will Need:
1 pkg. Rolo’s
1 box Devils Food Cake mix
1/3 c. oil
Mix in all ingredients, except for Rolos. Mixture will be like dough and a bit dry. Form balls around the Rolos with cake mixture. Bake at 350* for 7-8 minutes.
My favorite part of the Rolo cookies is how easy they are. You can’t beat 4 ingredients for this ooey-gooey chocolate and caramel treat. It’s like nomming on warm Rolos that have been in your pocket, except without the pocket lint. 😉
