Easy Apple Recipes

Anyone that owns an apple tree knows how great fresh apples directly from the tree are, and how much better easy apple recipes are with fresh apples. In the fall, you usually have more apples than you can handle so are constantly looking for new and easy apple recipes. Plus apples are extremely cheap at the store, so any great apple recipes can be good all year. If you have a near by apple tree, you have it made. Fresh apples can be a wonderful fall treat, and there's several different apple recipes you can use that are listed on this page.

Best Apple Pie Recipe

My favorite of all apple recipes has always been the Best Apple Pie Recipe. This recipe I've had for several years, and I can't say where it even came from. Either way it's been the most requested of any apple recipes for family events and gatherings. If I don't show up with a pie in hand made from my best apple pie recipe, I'm in trouble! I've even been asked to make the best apple pie recipe for no occation at all. If you have another apple pie recipe, please feel free to share!

There's no shortcuts with the best apple pie recipe - give yourself about 1hour prep time (30mins extra if you are making more than one) and another 1 hour bake time. Trust me, this apple pie recipe is completely worth the time! I'm positive you'll add it to your list of favorite apple recipes.

Best Apple Pie Recipe

Apple Pie Crust:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt

Apple Pie Filling:
6 Apples, cored & sliced
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Apple Pie Topping:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 butter

1. Preheat oven to 350*
2. Mix together all crust ingredients, press into 9inch pie tin. Set aside.
3. In bowl, toss together filling ingredients then place in crust.
4. In separate bowl, mix together flour and sugar for your topping. "Cut" in butter (to make a crumble like crust).
5. Bake for 45mins-1hour, or until pie is golden brown.

6. Eat and enjoy the best apple pie recipe!

Apple Crisp Recipe

While this easy apple crisp recipe isn't mine and I have yet to use it, I know a good apple crisp recipe is highly requested. Apple Crisp Recipe

6 apples
Peel and slice, put in a 9x13 inch pan.
Mix together: 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 egg
Pour over apples. On top of this pour 1/3 cup cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until apples are done.

Apple Fritters

2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
Scant 3 c. chopped apples (leave skin on)

Sift dry ingredients together. Beat eggs and add milk. Pour into dry ingredients. Stir until batter is smooth. Chop apples. Add apples and blend together. Drop by spoonfuls into hot fat at 375 degrees. Fry until golden brown, turn once. Makes about 30 fritters.

Baked Apples

8 to 10 apples, cored, peeled & halved
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. butter, melted
1 c. water

Place apples in greased 9 x 13 inch dish. Mix remaining ingredients together in ORDER given, in pan and bring to a boil. Simmer, stirring until thick. Pour syrup over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until tender. Very easy and tasty idea to add to your collection of apple recipes!
